Astrology is a very old science, possibly the oldest of them all, but it is today a very different discipline from the one which spread among cultures of the past, when it was mostly a tool for protection against overpowering natural forces. Ancient societies were observing the regular changes of moving bodies in the sky and their parallels in the natural environment.

First impressions often lie. People sometimes appear very different upon initial contact from what their deeper personality is about. We all wear masks. Not deliberately, but automatically. In some cases, the mask is very similar and compatible with the real nature of the person, but often times it is presenting an image which runs counter to what stands behind it and is not immediately expressed.

Popular astrology is commonly centered around the Sun (or Star) signs. The minimum most people know about their astrological profile is if they were born a Gemini, a Capricorn or a Leo etc. And this is just the position of the Sun (among 9 other planets) in the birth chart. It is only one of the many factors that make up the complex set of psychological predispositions and potential character traits of a person which a comprehensive chart reading can reveal.

Confusion, depression, restlessness, a sense of futility and lack of direction. Stagnation or hyperactivity, fear…The list of these all too common states of mind and feeling can go on and on. We all experience them - each in our own private way – hidden or exposed. And it seems like today more than ever before, we seek to put order in the chaos of our personal struggles, or at least try to make some sense of how we fit as individuals in the big picture of the world around.
